Ladakh is an interesting place

Ladakh is an interesting place if you want to find out how a "COLD DESERT" looks like. The culture is predominantly Buddhist like in nepal and tibet. The views are fantastic. Hard to believe its India and that too in april/may

Gia derives its name from Gaia the greek goddess of earth. It also refers to the Gaia hypothesis, an interesting concept I first read in Fritjof Capra's book, The Turning Point. The club is intended for students who enjoy the idea of fun and getting to know the Great Outdoors. Apart from the Natural Environment, the Gia Club also explores human environment, (eg: culture and mythology, etc. ). After all we are all part of the earth! Members of this club are expected to uphold the club values of Clean Fun ( leave no litter ), Conservation (do what you can to protect the environment) and Collaboration ( Team up with others who have similar values ). Affiliate Club membership is offered for student clubs focussed on these values. Individual membership is also available. Members exchange stories of such fun activities and plan trips together, etc.
